rear window

i thought i would do a post about my #1 favorite all time movie. "rear window". i have watched this movie maybe 100 times, since i was about 10-11 years old. this movie introduced me to grace kelly, who i am in love with, and hitchcock movies, which i have loved for years. hitchcock movies are perfection, to me. this movie is a classic example. the"rear window"set was the biggest ever made at that time and it was so great. the idea of having all the apartment buildings backed up together and sharing a big courtyard was a great setting for a murder. i love voyeur movies, i don't know if that makes me creepy?, but i like that he can spy into these peoples apartments and see their lives happening. i always thought it would be so cool to witness a murder in my neighborhood. i say that, but i would only like to witness a "hitchcock" murder.

i am in love with grace kelly, and her character in this movie. she has the most unbelievable wardrobe, she wears the most beautiful clothing and has such "grace" and style. she's all around a gorgeous and a classic.

even though this movie doesn't ever leave the apartment, it definitely keeps your attention. hitchcock was a master at creating suspense without using blood and gore, or C.G.I. so all of his movies will always be striking and timeless gems.
