Oklahoma is OK? I hope.

Today my dad left for Oklahoma City. He has a new job down there and since that's where we are from, he thought it would be a good time to go back and live for a few years So. he packed up and left this morning, so, this is one of the hardest days ever! I have always been a daddy's girl, so to have my dad 2,000 miles away does not work well with me at all! It's going to be a huge and sad adjustment in my life. Not being to go over there for every holiday or when I am having a hard time and need someone to talk to and hug. He is the one I go to. But, I know this will be a good thing for him and Tammy and so it goes. So, dad, i will miss you more than you will know, everyday! Dad, you are such an AMAZING father, you are always so tender, patient, loving, responsible. You have always had your kids best interest in mind, with every situation in life. You don't really realize what your parents do for you until you grow up and become one yourself, and it is unbelievable to me to realize what he did for us being a single father and raising three kids. Driving to piano, gymnastics, violin and tennis lessons, he always had us involved in something no matter how hard we protested. He never missed a school function of any kind, he even went to our school carnivals. While running his kids around all over Oklahoma City, he still had time to make meals, take us shopping for school clothes, take us to parks, fly kites, visit pumpkin patches, go to the lake and even go to the store for feminine products!. He did all this and still managed to create many traditions and amazing memories in a sad time in our lives. I really don't know how he did it on his own and did such a stellar job in every aspect of his and our lives. He did all of this while working, holding church positions, and dating. It's unbelievable and he deserves a trophy.
I really appreciate what you did and do for Chelsey, Ryne, and I. We are such better people because of you, your influence and decisions that you've made. You always tell me that you have a tender spot in your heart for me, but I think I have one that's bigger. I love the movie, "Father of the Bride", because their relationship is so much like ours. I love you dad and will miss you everyday and am excited to visit you and create more Oklahoma memories with you.
