ah.... this is one of the BEST times of the year for me! why o why is lilac season so short? why can't it last all summer? it would actually make my summers more bearable. it doesn't get any better than the smell and look of lilacs, to me. i have a house down the street that has about 8 purple lilac bushes and 8 white lilacs bushes right on the street, perfect for me to get at! i go there, probably, ten times during the lilac blooming season. they are in {literally} EVERY room in my home right now. they make me happy and smile when i look at them. the white ones look more aesthetically pleasing in my house, but the purple ones smell so much better. anyhoo- that's my testimony on lilacs.... me likey!
