what an eye and talent he had. . it sounds cliche, but, he was WAY ahead of his time. his movies are still incredible, the lighting, editing, shots, acting, sets, and plots. lets talk about his sets? hello? how unbelievable are they? the house in "north by northwest? the set from "rear window" was the biggest yet. the skyline in "rope" used the most electricity than any other to that date. and the house from "psycho" is the creepiest.
the wardrobes used in his films are iconic. grace kelly and all the female roles were dressed beautifully and impeccably in each of his films and they have inspired so many looks since then.
and how great is bernard herman's soundtracks in his films? epic! there's too many films to post, so here are just a few of my favorites.
REAR WINDOW-
i am obsessed with everything in this film. love the apartment, the conversations, the idea, the music, the wardrobe.

I saw The Birds when I was little, like 6 or 7, and it FREAKED ME OUT for a really long time.
I will say, however, that Rear Window has always been one of my very favorites. That dress she wears...amazing.
I want to borrow that Tippy costume!
